The learning spaces at Sacred Heart Primary are designed to enhance the learning opportunities of our students.
From the latest technology to flexible spaces and adaptable class sizes, students will learn how to work both independently and as part of a small or large group depending on the task at hand.
Learning spaces
Our students learn in modern, welcoming spaces carefully designed to enhance learning experiences.
Each year level has their own self-contained area to minimise the need for using stairs and lifts throughout the school day. Kindergarten and Year 1 students are located on the ground floor of our building, with Years 2-6 using floors above.
Specialised Areas
School Library
Our vibrant library space is called The Lighthouse, a favourite for all students who use it for reading, games, craft activities. Every class visits at least weekly to borrow books and develop their love of reading.
Out of Hours Care
Ambrose Early Years Learning and School Aged Care provides before and after school care for students in Years K-6 in a well resourced space located on the school grounds.
Assembly and Liturgy Space
Outdoor Areas
We offer exciting play and recreation spaces throughout our school building. These spaces are usable all-year round, in all weather and are tailored for the age groups who use the different areas.
Redgum Garden
A designated space for Kindergarten and Year 1 where they can climb, imagine and play.
Wattle Way
Perfect for active play from handball to hula hoops and skipping ropes.
Bottlebrush Playground
Exciting play equipment that encourages bouncing, jumping and climbing.
Banksia Bay
Open space and sports fields for running games and sports including soccer. There is even a field set aside for our younger students to help them feel safe and welcome.
Jacaranda Place
Another open green space, this area supports sports including basketball and touch footy. There’s also a nature playground, yarning circle and seating for students to relax and socialise with friends.
Ironbark Park
On level 3 of our building, this recreation area has been created especially for our older students. Students enjoy exploring the equipment, playing handball and foosball, or sitting to chat and play card games with their friends.
